Today's Flower- Lotus Flower

My mom planted this lotus a few years ago. The flower looks so pretty, so why not sharing with you all.
I am not sure what they call the yellow thing with the seeds, I guess, in the middle of the flower, since it is so beautiful, I decided to capture it,
This is the whole flower..

And, this "Crown of Thorns" we captured at our grandmother's small garden while we were in our home town..

    I never paid attention to the center yellow of the lotus. I always look at the whole flower. Next time, I will set my eyes on the center.
